The Disabled American Veterans provides transportation to-and-from doctors appointments, help with claims and benefits for our Veterans, and essential socialization opportunities for the troops as they transition back to civilian life.

Nonprofit partners pick up for free when they can resell what they collect; that’s what covers the truck and the crew. Each partner sets its own list, so you’ll confirm specifics once you’re matched, but the pattern is consistent across our network.

Free nonprofit pickups are scheduled around each partner’s routes, so plan on a few days to a couple of weeks once a partner accepts. Priority Pickup providers can often come within one to two days.

That depends on your provider, the weather and where the items are. Many partners will take items from a garage or porch if you arrange it with them in advance. Confirm when they contact you.

Furniture is our most requested pickup. Sofas, dressers, tables and bed frames in clean, intact condition are welcome with most partners. Mattresses and damaged pieces usually aren’t. Our furniture pickup guide has the full list.
