Who picks up donations in Springfield
We may not have a featured partner in Springfield that can guarantee a pickup, but we have a network of nonprofits we can ask. Your request goes to every one of them within 15 miles of your address: thrift stores, furniture banks, shelters and other charities that run their own trucks.
It’s first come, first served. Depending on what you’re giving and how full their routes are, you might hear from two or three organizations or from none. Whoever can use your items contacts you directly, usually within 48 hours. If nobody has reached out by then, no nonprofit took the request.
Priority Pickup. Check the Priority Pickup box on the same form and a provider will contact you to quote a fee. It’s the right choice when you need a firm date or have items nonprofits won’t take.
What’s different about a pickup in Springfield
Tell us these up front and we match you with a partner that can handle it:
- Garages and porches. Staging items in the garage lets a crew pick up even if you’re at work.
- Storm season. Spring storms shift routes; give a range of dates.
- Christian County. Nixa and Ozark requests route the same way; the zip-code form checks coverage.
Neighborhoods we serve
Partners serve Rountree, Phelps Grove, Galloway, Southern Hills, Brentwood and the Midtown and Downtown neighborhoods, plus Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Willard and Strafford. Availability varies by zip code and item; enter your zip code and the form checks coverage for you.
Donating furniture in Springfield
Furniture is the most requested pickup. Sofas, dressers, dining sets and bed frames in clean, intact condition are welcome with most partners; mattresses and damaged upholstery usually aren’t. See what furniture qualifies for free pickup before you submit. If your piece doesn’t qualify, Priority Pickup takes it for a fee. Hoping Goodwill or the Salvation Army would come instead?
