Why were you receiving these emails, and what is PickUpMyDonation?
PickUpMyDonation.com exists to "make donating simple for donors in order to increase donations to independent non-profit thrift stores serving their communities." We recently launched a function of our application that automatically sends over 5,000 large item donation requests each month nationwide to ALL of the non-profits we have on record within a 15 mile radius of the donor. Your name is on this list for one of two reasons 1.) We have attended an industry trade show together, or 2.) my staff, who have been scouring the Internet in search of non-profits that provide a pick up service, added your information to our list.
Your Options:
- You can follow up with the donor directly and pick up the donation.
- You can let us know that these emails should go somewhere else in your organization and we will change the contact email. See option 3 above.
- You can ignore the requests that do not fit your pick up or donation criteria. The donor is not informed of "who" received the donation info, they just know the PickUpMyDonation.com team is working on their behalf to find an organization that can use it.
